A lovely ride from Sale Water Park to Chorlton Water Park and then to Wythenshawe Park.
There is some road work from Chorlton Water Park to Wythenshawe Park with two road crossings, one has a Pelican crossing, the other not.

Ride back from Sale Water Park car park to the Visitor Centre.

Restricted Byway
Turn left just beyond the Visitor Centre down a restricted byway, (which is at the far side of the brown building shown by the car park not the Sale Water Park side)

Turn left along the River Bank and follow it to the Metro Line Bridge.

Turn right to cross it, turn right again to follow the opposite bank, again keeping the river to your right. As you cross the bridge, please be aware of trams passing on your left.

The riverbank will meet and cross a small stream, keeping right and rejoin the main riverbank. (you will see this on your right).

Pass Jacksons Boat Bridge and Pub, and go under the tram line on the opposite side of the river.

As you approach the disused bridge, take the upper bank onto a short small lane next to the river, follow this to the entrance to Chorlton Water Park, next to the large bridge. Follow the Green track and waypoint 20 to return.

Enter the Water Park and follow the path around the park, clockwise, with the lake on your right.

Exit at the same point you entered and go straight on across the bridge and continue along Willenhall Road. If you wish to do a shorter ride, turn right at WP 26 and follow the river bank.

Continue under the Motorway Bridges along Willinhall Lane and turn right at the T junction onto Yewtree Lane.

Turn left onto Rackhouse Road and follow this straight across the two roads to Wythenshawe Park Entrance by the Tudor House.

Turn left round the house picking up the tree line, you are now in an open space, please keep to the outside of the tree line.

Continue to follow the track clockwise to some rough grass with a cut path which follows towards a wooden fence. There will be a wood chip opening on the left, take this track, and then go right on the wide path.

You will come to a power station with green fencing, continue on the track. Follow this track round until you reach a black barrier, making a sharp right through the gap onto Gibbs Lane. Follow the road back to the car park.

Take the first left onto a grass path and follow it round, keeping to the left, taking the outside grass path.

After a sharp right at the next corner, follow the track to a gap in the hedge where you will see bollards.

Follow the track over a stone bridge, taking the first left after the bridge along a woodland track.

The track will come to an opening, continue straight to the end and turn right on the grass along the hedge towards the athletic track, taking the path on the left side of the track.

Follow the track round to a right hand corner until you reach the car park. Keep left, then turn left to car park exit. Just past the gateway take the right wood chip track along side the road.

You will meet the main car park entrance, continue straight across on the wood chip path.

This track comes to the Black and White Tudor House, turn left out of the park, crossing the road onto Rackhouse Road, following the blue signs for Chorlton.

Continue straight across the next road crossing, still following Rackhouse Road.

At the T junction turn right onto Yewtree Lane.

Continue to follow the road to the first left turn onto Willenhall Road.

Continue on Willenhall Road under the motorway bridges to the black metal gate, go through the horse gap at the left hand side and continue straight on through Kenworthy Woods.

Turn left on the track along side the river to WP 27.

Turn left and follow your steps back to the car park.
